Cover crops has many advantages if we talk about better and profitable practices for agriculture sector, they are one of most suitable crops to grow. Cover crop is used to cover food crops in times when farmers don’t have enough time to harvest it. It happens mostly in winters but it’s seemingly easy to grow but it requires a lot of effort and care to produce it in most effective way. There are more one method for it’s growth it is based on farming situation and farmers credibility to choose the most suitable method.
Research work in Pennsylvania university:
In this university, there students after doing an extensive research on evaluating and introducing various innovative methods for growing cover crops in an efficient and logical way. In this research, they elaborated all the necessary details to make it unique and easy to do. These researches work best for farmers through which farmers can get able to find out its after effects on soil and beans. Moreover, it provides more options and opportunities to find ways to grow it with least cost. It took three years to complete their research work which aimed to create maximum ease for farmers and gives benefit to agricultural sector.
Termination process:
It’s termination process also has some complexities. It involves the last and final stage where crop is being cut for selling or end use which is called soybean. When you harvest it before the plantation of soybean it’s pre-plant harvesting. And when you harvest it after it is called green planting. All these factors were too interesting and exciting for researchers to evaluate each and every detail precisely to ferret out how they deal with soybeans.
It holds a crucial importance in it’s growth as the relation between soybean and termination is a bit complex but all it depends upon the timing of termination which must be perfect. Termination effects on whole cover crop in such a way that they the overall structure of crop can be highly effected if the termination is not get done at the right time.
Compatibility of cover crops:
The results evaluated from the whole research were not authentic. According to the study, rye biomass and rye seeding rate were different from each other and they have no connection with each other. Similarly, rye moisture also have no connection or linkage with soya bean. Green planting is better suitable with minimum rate of nitrogen toa produce expected result and to avoid any risk. As compared to other options, this is more ideal.
This piece of information provides a great deal of knowledge to make all those well-informed who are interested in producing cover crops as they are a relevant source of profit to support the agriculture sector so well. Cover crops are a great addition to the agriculture industry. The above-mentioned research also highlighted all main features which are worth considering before growing cover crops in recent times.
